Tim Sheehy, has not been allowed to see his wife, his children, or his legal counsel, according to a public statement he made on his Instagram page. He is currently awaiting surgery for severe injuries.

Internal records reveal that three agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement accidentally shot themselves in the leg within two days during routine firearms training — each incident occurring while the agent was holstering their own weapon.

All three injuries happened during standard qualification drills in 2025 and none were fatal, with the agents treated and released. The incidents surfaced through documents obtained via a FOIA request by watchdog group American Oversight and later reviewed by Newsweek.

Former officials say accidental discharges during training do happen in law enforcement, often due to “operator error,” but the cluster of incidents has renewed scrutiny around firearms safety and training within the agency.

A Filipina overseas worker, Mary Ann Velasquez De Vera, 32, from Pangasinan, lost her life in Israel amid rising unrest in the region.

She was reportedly helping her elderly patient reach a safety shelter when nearby strikes caused fatal injuries. Her husband, also an OFW, identified her remains.

Her passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the sacrifices many OFWs make to support their families — often working in challenging and high-risk conditions far from home.

Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.

The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.”
