  • This is what happens when a street artist decides a city deserves a little more character

French street artist Le CyKlop has been turning ordinary metal bollards across France into bright yellow, Lego-inspired figures using spray paint and carefully placed stickers. Known as Angry L’éGO, the project gives each street post its own expressive face — from furious and grumpy to wide-eyed and surprised

Working mostly at night, Le CyKlop often completes entire rows before sunrise, leaving morning commuters to discover a suddenly more playful streetscape The installations have appeared in several French cities and quickly gained international attention online.

Blurring the line between street art and public installation, most of the pieces are created without official permission. While some city officials appreciate the creativity, others have removed or painted over the characters. For the artist, the goal is simple — to change how people see their surroundings and spark small moments of joy in everyday life

What many once ignored as plain metal posts have become tiny urban personalities that stop pedestrians in their tracks.
