A man was taken into custody after an unusual incident near Marco Island, Florida

Authorities said a Sea Tow captain had responded to a boat fire and safely rescued the individual from the burning vessel.

After the rescue, the situation unexpectedly escalated A confrontation took place on the boat, and the man reportedly pushed the captain into the water

He then took control of the rescue vessel and left the area, leading to a large search operation involving multiple agencies

Officials were able to safely recover the captain from the water and later located the individual, who was then taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation
