Kim Jong Un visited a pet shop in a new Pyongyang housing district with his daughter Kim Ju Ae . The visit highlighted a growing trend of pet ownership in the country, with images showing Ju Ae happily interacting with cats while Kim held a white puppy.

He said the shop was built to provide pets, accessories, and specialised services for households . Kim also called for increased production of pet-care supplies like feed, tools, and veterinary medicines, supporting the rising demand for pets in North Korea .
