  • The human cost of Operation Epic Fury is becoming clearer as updated casualty reports reveal a significant rise in wounded U.S. personnel since the conflict began on February 28.
While early Pentagon briefings reported lower numbers, new figures indicate that around 150 U.S. service members have been injured, with cases ranging from minor blast effects to severe combat trauma.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said roughly 140 of the injuries occurred during the first ten days of Iranian retaliatory strikes. Of those wounded, 108 have already returned to duty, while eight remain in critical condition receiving specialized medical care.
Officials say some of the injuries include traumatic brain injuries (TBI) caused by repeated exposure to explosions, which can take time to diagnose and report. Many of the incidents were linked to drone and missile attacks targeting U.S. bases in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has acknowledged that additional casualties are possible as operations continue, even as the Pentagon reports major progress in degrading Iran’s missile launch capabilities.
The rising injury toll has also sparked debate on Capitol Hill, with lawmakers calling for clearer public briefings on the long-term military, human, and economic costs of the conflict.

  • THIS IS BEAUTIFUL

He was bullied for looking different… until he found a best friend who looked just like him.

Seven-year-old Madden Humphreys from Oklahoma was born with a bilateral cleft lip and heterochromia — a rare condition that gives him one blue eye and one green eye.

Sadly, instead of celebrating his uniqueness, some kids at school teased him. The bullying hurt his confidence and slowly began to break his spirit.

One day, Madden’s mom was scrolling through an online cleft lip support group when she saw something incredible. Someone had posted a photo of a rescue cat looking for a home.

The cat had the same features as Madden — a cleft lip and two different colored eyes.

The family was stunned. They went to meet the cat right away and instantly felt a special bond. They named him Moon and brought him home.

From that moment on, Madden and Moon became inseparable. For Madden, Moon was more than a pet — he was a reminder that being different is something to be proud of.

Sometimes, the friend who understands you best is the one who looks a little like you.

  • In 2008 I was diagnosed with brain cancer and a condition that made me urinate 11 gallons a day. This was my Halloween costume the year I finished treatment.

  • More than two dozen House Democrats — led by Jared Huffman and Jamie Raskin — are demanding a formal investigation into Pete Hegseth after hundreds of U.S. service members reportedly complained that military commanders were promoting end-times Christian ideology as justification for the war with Iran.

The complaints were submitted to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which says it has received more than 200 reports from troops across multiple branches since the conflict escalated. According to the group, some soldiers claim commanders suggested the war had a biblical or apocalyptic purpose and even described Donald Trump as being “anointed by Jesus.”

Lawmakers say the allegations raise serious concerns about religious coercion and politicization inside the U.S. military, and are calling for the Pentagon to investigate whether troops are being pressured with ideological messaging while deployed.
