Iran’s foreign minister has said the country does not want to harm ordinary Americans despite the escalating war between Iran and the United States.

In a public statement, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran’s dispute is with U.S. government policies and military actions, not with American citizens. He said Iran does not seek to harm Americans who oppose prolonged foreign wars.

The comments come as tensions continue to rise following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets and retaliatory attacks across the region.

A shocking incident has been reported from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, India.

A young man allegedly injured himself in an attempt to secure admission to an MBBS program under the disability quota. Initially, he told authorities that unknown attackers had cut his leg, but a police investigation later revealed that the story was fabricated.

According to officials, the man had amputated four fingers of his left foot himself, leaving only the thumb. He is currently hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition. The incident occurred in the Line Bazaar police station area.

During the investigation, police recovered anesthesia vials, syringes, and a saw from the location. Call records and entries in a diary suggested he had been under severe stress after failing to obtain an MBBS seat and allegedly planned the act to qualify for the disability quota.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and further legal action may follow.
