    Ingredients:

    1/4 cup all-purpose flour

    2 cups whole milk (warm)

    1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

    1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

    Directions:

    In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble but not brown.

    Whisk in the flour, stirring constantly to form a smooth roux. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture turns a light golden color.

    Gradually whisk in the warm milk, ensuring no lumps form. Continue whisking until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
