Crisp and Cloud-Like Easy Pavlova with Fresh Berries

    Ingredients:

4 large egg whites, at room temperature

    1 cup granulated sugar

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 teaspoon white vinegar

    2 teaspoons cornstarch

    1 cup heavy whipping cream

    2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) for topping

    Directions:

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.

Gradually add granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating on high speed until stiff, glossy peaks form and sugar is dissolved.

Gently fold in vanilla extract, vinegar, and cornstarch until just combined.

Spoon the meringue onto the parchment paper in a circle about 8 inches in diameter, creating a slight well in the center.

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the pavlova inside to cool completely (about 1 hour).

Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
