Creamy Cucumber and Onion Salad
Refreshing Creamy Cucumber and Sweet Onion Salad with Dill
Ingredients:
2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, dill, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Add thinly sliced cucumbers and onions to the bowl. Toss gently to coat the vegetables evenly with the creamy dressing.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and the salad to chill.
Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with extra dill if desired.
