Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or American cheese)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
10-12 egg roll wrappers
1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil) for sautéing
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional, for dipping)
Ketchup or mustard (optional, for dipping)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef Filling:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess grease.
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Once the beef mixture has cooled, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese (or melted American cheese) until well combined. This will create a cheesy, savory filling for your egg rolls!
2. Assemble the Egg Rolls:
Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface, with one corner facing you like a diamond.
Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling onto the center of the wrapper.
Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper up over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll the egg roll tightly, sealing the top corner with a little water to keep it from opening up while frying. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
3. Fry the Egg Rolls:
Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan or deep fryer over medium-high heat (about 350°F). There should be enough oil to submerge the egg rolls halfway.
Carefully add the egg rolls to the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure they cook evenly.
Remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve your cheeseburger egg rolls hot with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or even a creamy ranch dip!
Optional: For extra flavor, you can add a slice of pickles to the filling before rolling or sprinkle some sesame seeds on the egg rolls after frying for a fun twist.
