    Fiery Chickpea Shakshuka with Spicy Tomato Sauce and Herbs

    Ingredients:

    1 small onion, diced

    3 garlic cloves, minced

    1 red bell pepper, diced

    1 teaspoon smoked paprika

    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

    1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

    1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes

    1/2 cup spicy tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade)

    1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    4 large eggs

    Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

    Crusty bread, for serving

    Directions:

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté for 4–5 minutes until translucent.

    Stir in garlic and red bell pepper; cook for another 3 minutes.
